As the weather starts to cool down we can start to want a nice hot dessert to serve while hosting guests. Apples are really cheap here at the moment and my husband and I love a good crumble, but most crumbles are full of refined sugar and gluten. Here is a recipe for a gluten free version for you to serve 2-3 people
2 apples chopped up
3 sticks of rhubarb chopped up
3/4cup almond flour
2 Tablespoons coconut flour
3 Tablespoons coconut oil
1/4cup honey/maple syrup/agave
Here’s how to make it.
Place your apple and rhubarb into a pan and sprinkle cinnamon over it. Cook until the apple is soft (approximately 10minutes)
While the apple and rhubarb are cooking in a bowl mix the almond and coconut flours, coconut oil and honey together until it resembles a crumb-like mixture.
Place the apple and rhubarb into an oven dish and spread the crumb mix on top and place in the oven on 180 Celcius for 15minutes. Serve with greek yoghurt.
